This section provides comprehensive guidance on managing tournaments within the RhetoTab system. Follow these instructions to create, edit, delete, or manage tournament data effectively.
To create a new tournament, log into RhetoTab and follow these steps:
Navigate to the New Tournament Management Page: You can find this under the "Tournament Management" section in the navigation bar.
Fill Out the Tournament Form: Provide the necessary details, such as:
{info} We recommend using an attractive poster for the tournament in this section.
{warning} Use commonly known landmarks to help participants easily find the venue. You can also include a Google Maps link for better navigation.
{success} Creating the tournament will automatically assign you as a tabmaster. This action is irreversible.
Save the Tournament: Click the "Save" button to add the tournament to the system.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation message indicating the successful creation of the tournament and your role as a tabmaster.
To edit an existing tournament, log into the system and follow these steps:
{info} Only authorized personnel and the tournament tabmaster can edit tournament details.
Access the Tournament List: Navigate to the tournament management section and select "View Tournaments" to see a list of all tournaments.
Select the Tournament: Click the "Tournament Details" button on the tournament card you wish to edit. You will be redirected to the tournament's details page.
Open the Tournament Profile Tab: Here, you can update the fields you want to modify.
{danger} The image will only change when a new file is selected and will be previewed below the form once ready for upload. Be careful not to alter any fields you do not wish to change.
Save Changes: Click the "Update Profile" button to save the changes.
Confirmation: A confirmation message will appear, indicating that the tournament details have been successfully updated.
By default, the RhetoTab system closes public registration for tournaments. However, tabmasters have the authority to invite participants by specifying their emails and roles.
To open public registration:
Navigate to the "Other Settings" Tab of the Tournament: Ensure you have tabmaster permissions for the tournament.
Enable Registration Categories: In the settings page, check the categories you wish to open for registration and click the corresponding save button. Each setting, such as registration categories, has its own save button. To close the registration, click the "default" button.
